In this presentation--also offered at the Summer 2019 Dirigo Institute in Bangor--Mark discusses the work he's been doing alongside Carrie Hall with high-impact teaching practices. This work is inspired by the work of John Hattie--an educational researcher interested in the measured impact of various teaching practices.

Melissa Clement: Classroom Management Strategies 

Melissa's presentation discusses how to handle disruptive behavior, disrespectful behavior, and other challenges that faculty face in the classroom. Examples include: phone use, leaving class frequently, spacing out, and more.

Stephen LaRochelle: Captioning YouTube Videos for ADA Compliance 

Stephen's presentations covers how to caption YouTube videos. This is an important practice for faculty using video in their classrooms and online. Ensuring videos are accessible is key to ADA compliance and universal design.
