Check out recent additions to the guide:

  • Fall 2019 PD Day Recaps: this page contains resources collected from our Fall 2019 PD day held in August. If you have additional resources you'd like to share, please send them to TLS@kvcc.me.edu
  • NILOA Assignment Design: this page contains resources from Brad Melo's visit in October including information regarding assessment and assignment design best practices. This is a great resource if you're looking to align assignments more directly with learning outcomes or if you're shopping for a brand new assignment
  • How to Pull Tricks out of Your Hattie: here's a recap of Carrie Hall and Mark McCafferty's presentation at the Community College Conference on Learning Assessment where they discuss high-impact instructional strategies. This is a great resource if you're looking to incorporate new techniques and approaches into you're everyday teaching. Based on John Hattie's research, this presentation contains practical, on-the-ground teaching resources.

Professional Development @ KVCC

Welcome to KVCC's Professional Development LibGuide

In an effort to catalog, archive, and share professional development (PD) resources from across campus, the Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship committee has created this LibGuide.

It's the committee's hope that this digital resource can:

  • Help PD discussion persist after events and PD days
  • Serve as a place for faculty and staff to share resources they've found useful
  • House information and resources collected during off-campus professional development experiences
  • Contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing across campus.

Tell us what you need!

Send us an e-mail @ tls@kvcc.me.edu. Tell us what you need amd we'll be sure to put it on our next agenda!
