Statistics with Excel

Excel is a very powerful tool for all sorts of purposes, including statistics.  Statistics is used in all of the social sciences, business, genetics, meteorology, and many other fields of science.  Statistics is a type of mathematics that utilizes numbers and values to describe data and their relationships to one another.

We use formulas built into Excel to calculate numbers and we use the graphic and charting tools to create visual representations of these data.

Many of these functions work in any version of Excel including online, tablet, phone, and computer applications!

While Excel formulas are great, you can unlock a more powerful set of tools that makes Statistics easier in Excel.  This feature, however, is limited to installations on PCs, Macs, and Surface.  The Toolpack is not available for Android, iOS, or online uses.

Below are links to YouTube videos I have created that utilize the Data Analysis ToolPak (and other formulas) to calculate some basic statistics.  These links will bring you to the Dr. K's Psychobabble channel.  Unless otherwise stated, all the tutorials feature the use of the Data Analysis ToolPak on my Apple Mac computer.  PCs have the same functions thought they may look different.
